Overview of Advancement
Wycliffe USA's Advancement department helps provide needed resources for Bible translation by connecting financial partners with where God is at work around the world. We emphasize ministry to donors, which focuses on caring for donors by building relationships, presenting meaningful partnership opportunities and providing robust reporting on the impact of their investments. Additionally, we position Wycliffe USA to be “all in” to accelerate Bible translation through increased project and field engagement in service to the global Church.
Responsibilities
You’ll make an impact as you:
Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
Live out the conviction that “work flows through relationship” by passionately “loving God and loving people” through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
Work alongside the Operations Manager and other team members to support daily functions of the Advancement Department and gain hands-on exposure to key fundraising operations, including:
Participating in day-to-day operational tasks such as maintaining project trackers, coordinating logistics, and helping ensure smooth departmental workflows.
Shadowing team members across each area of operations to learn how data, reporting, donor services, and administrative systems support successful fundraising efforts.
Assisting with database management and reporting projects, including pulling lists, reviewing data for accuracy, and learning how operational insights guide fundraising strategy.
Communicate clearly and professionally with team members, management, and external partners through verbal and written channels.
Support departmental problem-solving and process improvement efforts by contributing to team discussions, identifying small inefficiencies, and helping test new procedures.
Demonstrate initiative by taking on tasks with a strong work ethic and adapting to changing priorities as needed.
Maintain organized workflows by managing multiple tasks, prioritizing responsibilities, and ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Physical Demands: Ability to spend significant amounts of time using a computer, video conferencing software and/or phone.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Technical Skills:
Basic proficiency in tools such as Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, Drive, Slides, etc.), Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
Familiarity with email platforms, Slack and video conferencing software such as Zoom.
Ability to conduct internet research and quickly learn new software as needed.
Skilled in using social media to promote organizational initiatives, programs, and events effectively.
Education & Experience
Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a bachelor’s program in business, administration, nonprofit management, ministry or a related field.
Nonprofit, ministry, or fundraising work experience is preferred.
Familiarity with diverse staff types and ministry service is beneficial.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $20.00 hourly. The compensation for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe’s non-profit ministry environment.
