Based in Charlotte, NC in our Southeast Regional office you will be a part of the North America Services group who provides fully engineered control system solutions for power plants & wastewater facilities.
 
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will be managing full lifecycle projects, including leading or supporting proposals, awards, planning, design, procurement, production, factory acceptance testing, delivery, field installation and subcontracting, commissioning, closeout, and warranty support.
 
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • Assist with the coordination, planning and scheduling of a project's implementation, resources and financial plan
  • Assist with project plans and schedules
  • Exhibit confident project management skills that set team expectations and effectively balance workloads
  • Assist with the coordination, planning and scheduling of electrical, mechanical, engineering subcontractors
  • Lead, supervise, and archive contract documents including primary contracts, change orders, proposals, correspondence and compliance matrixes
  • Anticipate, recognize, and negotiate changes from the detailed scope of work
  • Manage contract risk and engage engineering resources to ensure technical risk is mitigated
  • Demonstrate excellent written/verbal communication skills while maintaining organized workflow and documentation processes
  • Demonstrate effective and proven relationship building skills
  • Prioritize, schedule, and lead pre-bid meetings and any additional site visits
  • Prioritize and facilitate proposal kickoff calls, meetings, and review sessions
  • Coordinate with the Sales department to help shepherd proposals through the bid process by treating them as mini projects
  • Provide guidance regarding future project execution and management

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2+ years' related experience 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Willing and able to travel up to 20% 
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

 
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
  • PMP certification 
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Experience with Power, Water, Wastewater and/or Control Systems (highly preferred)
