Position Summary
Prepare and serve specialty coffee and other beverages. Serve food such as baked goods, sandwiches, salads, quiche, etc. to our guests. Work as a team member in a high-volume espresso/lunch/dessert shop.
Essential Functions
- Prepare or serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment throughout the day.
- Clean and sanitize service or seating areas.
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety.
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
- Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
- Receive and process customer payments.
- Prepare and serve foods, such as muffins, bagels, sandwiches, salads, and more.
- Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
- Take out garbage throughout hours of operation as needed.
- Label and date dot all food items when prepped for guest consumption.
- Demonstrate the use of retail equipment, such as espresso machines, coffee and tea brewers, and TurboChef oven.
- Set up or restock product displays.
