Bilingual SAP Business Analyst

Software International (SI) supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe.

We currently have an indefinite contract role as a Bilingual SAP Business Analyst - Transport Management (TM) with our global SAP consulting client, working Hybrid (2 days onsite, 3 days from home) at a major manufacturing client in their Montreal or Toronto office. This is a 6 month contract initially, but could be extended long term.

Rate: Open based on expectations - $90 - 120 CDN/hr C2C depending on overall experience

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Business Analyst – Transportation Management (TM) to support and optimize transportation and logistics processes within our SAP ecosystem. The successful candidate will work closely with Supply Chain, Logistics, Transportation, and IT stakeholders to analyze business requirements, design SAP TM solutions, and support implementation and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role will be responsible for enhancing transportation planning, freight management, carrier collaboration, logistics execution, and transportation cost optimization through SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management. The analyst will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure scalable, efficient, and integrated transportation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Gather, analyze, and document transportation and logistics business requirements.
• Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to identify process improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and SAP TM solutions.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend SAP best practices.
• Develop process maps, business requirements documents, and functional design documentation.

SAP TM Configuration & Support

• Configure and maintain SAP Transportation Management solutions.
• Support transportation planning, carrier selection, freight order management, tendering, and freight settlement processes.
• Manage transportation master data including carriers, transportation lanes, zones, locations, and freight agreements.
• Support system enhancements, defect resolution, and production support activities.
• Ensure transportation processes align with organizational supply chain objectives.

Integration Management

• Support integration between SAP TM and:
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • SAP SD
  • SAP MM
  • SAP EWM
  • SAP FI/CO
  • Third-party logistics (3PL) providers
  • Carrier systems and transportation networks
• Collaborate with technical teams on interface design and data integration requirements.

Testing & Deployment

• Develop and execute test strategies and test scripts.
• Lead System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Support data migration, deployment, cutover, and hypercare activities.
• Coordinate training activities and develop end-user documentation.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve transportation efficiency, freight costs, and logistics performance.
• Support SAP S/4HANA transformation and transportation optimization initiatives.
• Monitor transportation KPIs and recommend process enhancements.
• Stay current with SAP TM product enhancements and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of SAP functional experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA Transportation Management implementations.
• Strong understanding of transportation and logistics business processes.
• Experience gathering requirements and preparing functional specifications.
• Experience with full project lifecycle implementations.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Must speak English and French
