Stantec invites you to apply for a Building Science Intern role based in our Burnaby, B.C. office.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Performs project contract drawing reviews (drawings, specifications, shop drawings, material submittals, etc.)
  • Attend pre-construction meetings and document discussions
  • Reviews and reports on project mock-ups
  • Performs periodic site visits and utilizes a site visit reporting system to identify and update action items
  • Performs field testing to confirm building enclosure performance (water, air leakage, EFVM, infrared testing, etc.)
  • Assists in small project management and coordination
  • Assists in building condition assessments, concrete restoration, and building enclosure-related projects
  • Participates in continuing education
  • Perform various office-related tasks

  • Must have a valid driver's license

Education and Experience

  • Students working towards a degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field are encouraged to apply.
  • General knowledge of Building Science principles or Building Envelope components is a plus

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
