1. College Diploma or University Degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Systems and 5+ years related work experience
2. Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
3. Demonstrated ability to create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language
4. Demonstrated project management skills and project management software skills, including Microsoft Project
5. Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including Microsoft Windows
6. Working knowledge of current server and network hardware, protocols, and standards, including Server Virtualization, Storage, Citrix, TCP/IP, etc.
7. Excellent understanding of the organization�s goals and objectives
8. Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it, logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
9. Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
10. Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
11. Highly self motivated and directed with strong customer service orientation
12. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

Information and Communication Technologies Department is presently located on several sites (McMaster, Hamilton General, Juravinski & 293 Wellington) with our main office at 293 Wellington. We support the 24-hour by 7-day week needs of Hamilton Health Sciences and this service is accomplished by the use of on-site staff, rotating shifts, site-specific assignments and on-call services using Blackberry.
The Business Analyst will elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of project or service request stakeholders. This includes interviewing stakeholders and gathering and compiling user requirements to convey to Project Management Office. The Business Analyst will also apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the project or service request development process, and to ensure that project or service request deliverables are met according to specifications.
Monday to Friday; days (after hours work as required)
This position is temporary until March 2027.
