Position: Business Analyst

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to provide a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather, document, and analyze requirements, while contributing to best practices, policies, and standards across business analysis initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct business analysis to assess business problems, opportunities, and requirements
  
• Engage stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather and document requirements
  
• Develop business cases, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses
  
• Apply re-engineering concepts to improve business processes and service delivery
  
• Facilitate requirements gathering sessions (e.g., interviews, workshops, mockups)
  
• Perform business, process, and data modeling (including use case modeling and data flows)
  
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report to stakeholders
  
• Develop performance measures and traceability matrices for evaluation
  
• Ensure alignment with established project management methodologies and standards
  
• Translate business and data requirements into technical specifications
  

Qualifications & Experience

Core Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Business Analysis
  
• Experience developing organizational data strategies and roadmaps
  
• Strong experience with analytics and large data sets
  
• Expertise in data management, financial and business analysis, and information visualization
  
• Experience with statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning, and algorithms
  
• Experience with digital product development processes and standards
  
• Ability to plan, estimate, and document project deliverables
  

Technical Skills

• Strong experience in database design (SQL, Oracle)
  
• Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft BI)
  
• Expertise with Power BI, R-Shiny, and dashboard development
  
• Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing
  
• Knowledge of advanced data visualization techniques
  
• Familiarity with SharePoint and web integration
  

Communication & Soft Skills

• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  
• Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements
  
• Experience producing technical documentation and presentations
  
• Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
  
• Ability to drive consensus across multiple teams
  
• Proven track record meeting deadlines in collaborative environments
  

Public Sector Experience (Preferred)

• Experience working in large, complex public sector environments
  
• Understanding of public sector data challenges and governance
  
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., AODA)
  

Must-Have Requirements

• 10+ years of Business Analysis experience
  
• Experience with Oracle-based planning
  
• Strong database design experience (SQL, Oracle)
  
• BI and analytics roadmap development experience
  
• Data visualization and statistical tools experience (Power BI, R-Shiny)
  
• Experience working with large-scale data environments
  

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in public sector environments
  
• Familiarity with government IT standards and frameworks
