We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong Sapiens platform expertise to support insurance transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to analyze requirements, configure Sapiens solutions, and ensure alignment between business needs and system functionality across insurance operations.
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or client office a minimum of 2 days per week (subject to change at any time).
Business Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand, analyze, and document business processes, requirements, and pain points
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions with underwriting, claims, policy administration, and operations teams
- Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams to ensure clear and accurate communication
Sapiens Platform Expertise
- Lead or support requirements analysis and solution design for Sapiens core insurance platforms: ApplicationPro, UnderwritingPro, and IllustrationPro
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with Sapiens capabilities and configuration standards
- Support Sapiens product configuration, rules definition, workflows, and integration requirements
- Identify opportunities to leverage out-of-the-box Sapiens functionality and minimize customization
Solution Design & Delivery Support
- Create and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows
- Collaborate with architects and developers on solution design, integrations, and data mapping
- Support system testing activities, including test case creation, SIT/UAT coordination, and defect triage
- Validate solutions against business requirements and support go-live and post-implementation activities
Process Improvement & Governance
- Analyze current-state vs. future-state processes and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, audit, and data governance standards
- Contribute to change management, training materials, and user adoption strategies
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in insurance domains
- 5+ years of experience with Sapiens insurance platforms, specifically ApplicationPro, UnderwritingPro, IllustrationPro, and CoreSuite
- Strong domain knowledge in Life Insurance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
**CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000–$115,000. This role is an existing vacancy.**
