The Strategic Planning & Performance team develops long-term strategies, annual plans, and performance reporting for Middle Markets and Small Business lines of business. The Business Analyst, Senior – Middle Markets and Small Business will report to the Senior Manager, Strategic Planning & Performance. This role requires a strong track record of building trusted relationships with cross-functional partners, developing clear and concise executive or market-facing reporting, and leveraging foundational analytical skills – with a demonstrated appetite to continue deepening analytic capabilities – to deliver actionable insights that support sales performance and growth.

ResponsibilitiesYour Work
In this role, you will:
- Provide complex analytical support through the analysis and interpretation of data in support of cross-functional business operations
- Develop annual operating plans, capital budgets and forecasts, and build business cases for new business initiatives (cost/benefit analysis)
- Develop, prepare, and analyze reports with complex analysis and data for management review, and present to various levels of management
- Define business requirements and provide analysis to increase operational efficiency
- Provide analytical support for multiple, complex cross-functional projects simultaneously; establish work plans and timelines
- Partner with key enterprise partners to formulate data-driven business opportunities that support operational initiatives
- Be passionate about anticipating unrealized problems or dependencies and recommend solutions that solve business problems and keeping user perspective in focus
- Identify opportunities for improvements in performance and notify management of issues and problems that require immediate attention
- Support users in adoption of sales tools and processes in group or individual settings
QualificationsYour Knowledge and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience
- Requires foundational analytical and data skills (querying and managing Excel data), with curiosity and motivation to deepen technical and analytical expertise.
- Requires experience developing executive-level reporting, summaries and presentations
- Requires strong organizational skills with attention to details
- Requires experience building strong working relationships with sales team, business partners and/or stakeholders
- Health plan experience preferred
- Experience in CRM or Salesforce preferred
Hybrid
This role requires employees to be in-office based on our hybrid workplace model, balancing purposeful in-person collaboration with flexibility. For most teams, this means coming into the office two days each week.
Employees living more than 50 miles from an office location will work with their manager to determine in-office time based on business need.
