Job Description: Business Analyst – Banking / Financial Services Domain (Halifax)

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong experience in the banking and financial services domain to support business transformation and technology initiatives. The role involves working with stakeholders to gather requirements, improve processes, and deliver effective financial system solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from banking stakeholders
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications
• Work on banking processes such as payments, loans, accounts, or risk systems
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and product teams to ensure solution delivery
• Support system testing including SIT and UAT
• Analyze business processes and recommend improvements
• Prepare documentation, workflows, and reporting for stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with banking regulations and standards

Required Skills:

• Strong experience as a Business Analyst in banking or financial services
• Good understanding of banking products and operations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working in Agile environments

Preferred:

• Exposure to capital markets, retail banking, or risk/compliance systems
• Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar
• Basic knowledge of SQL or data analysis is an advantage
• Experience in large enterprise banking projects
