A Brief Overview
This position builds databases, data pipelines, and dashboards, and performs queries to generate relevant information, and interpret and communicate results. This position analyzes and makes recommendations to improve database, query, and report functioning. This position designs and implements data discipline, quality assurance, data sharing, and legislative compliance. This position also updates and maintains the data catalogue and metadata repository. To be successful in this position, proficiency in Power Automate including the ability to develop and deploy Copilot Studio agents with custom Power Automate flows is essential.
What you will do
• Builds databases, data pipelines, and dashboards.
• Builds database queries to generate relevant information, and interpret and communicate results.
• Develops and maintains reports, dashboards and visualizations.
• Performs data analysis using statistics and modeling and creates reports.
• Analyzes and makes recommendations to improve database, query, and report functioning.
• Interprets data needs, and determines which data sources to use.
• Supports staff on use of systems, troubleshoots issues that may arise, and communicates problems to technical resources.
• Designs and implements data discipline, quality assurance, data sharing, and legislative compliance.
• Updates and maintains the data catalogue and metadata repository.
• Serves as a liaison between technical and non-technical resources.
• Designs, develops, and delivers educational material for a range of data management workshops.
• Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.
Required Education
• Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent. In addition, requires trade certification, qualification, or on-going learning to remain ahead of changes in technology or emerging fields.
Required Experience
• More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate considered an asset.
• Familiarity with Copilot Studio Agents, including integration with Power Automate (Power Flows), considered an asset.
• Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
