Garud is seeking a Data Analyst to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the Office of Acquisition Management (OAQ) by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex datasets to inform operational decisions and improve program effectiveness. This role may develop dashboards, reports, and data‑driven insights that help identify trends, enhance workflow efficiency, and support mission‑critical activities. The analyst collaborates with cross‑functional teams, ensures data accuracy and integrity, and applies strong analytical and technical skills to turn information into actionable recommendations. This position is on site at the Washington DC office 5 days a week and reports to the Program Manager.

In general, work under this award shall be performed on weekdays between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm Eastern Time (ET), except for designated Government holidays or when the Government facility is closed due to local or national emergencies, administrative closings, or similar Government directed facility closings. It should be noted the contractor will not be reimbursed when the government facility is closed for the above reasons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains and practices operational security (OPSEC) in the performance of daily duties and to report OPSEC issues or concerns.
  • Develops and administers tracking mechanisms, user tools, and worksheets as necessary to track productivity, ensure mandates are followed and deadlines are met.
  • Applies different strategies when analyzing information to make reasonable inferences or provide well-supported conclusions.
  • Responds to data calls, using available tools and techniques to creatively solve problems and manage large data sets. 
  • Crafts and executes Microsoft Excel scripts and codes to double-check the accuracy of information and work products to provide consistently accurate and high-quality solutions.
  • Applies analytical techniques needed to identify, evaluate, and propose the use of appropriate strategies and solutions to resolve complex issues.
  • Manages sensitive information (procurement, law enforcement, or other secure information).
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six (6) years of experience in the Federal procurement or private sector.
  • At least four (4) years of documented experience data management or data analyst positions in support to a Federal Government agency or entity.
  • Experience reviewing spreadsheets and documents in various formats and the ability to apply different strategies when analyzing this information to make reasonable inferences or come to well-supported conclusions.
  • Documented ability to maintain and practice operational security (OPSEC) in the performance of daily duties and to report OPSEC issues or concerns.
  • Documented experience crafting and running Microsoft Excel scripts and codes to double-check the accuracy of information and work products to provide consistently accurate and high-quality work.
  • Demonstrated experience managing various data formats such as those created and maintained in Microsoft Office products.
  • A track record of the ability to apply different strategies for acquiring data and analyzing information to make reasonable inferences or draw well-supported conclusions.
  • Demonstrated creative problem solving skills.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities and reports on these 

various levels of leadership in a timely fashion.

  • Experience with handling sensitive information (procurement, law enforcement, or other secure information).
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills plus strong analytical and organizational skills and abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to use the Microsoft Suite of software applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint, Outlook) to create and maintain documents and communications.
