This opportunity is a for a 12 month term beginning February 2026. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into clear technical specifications
  • Document functional and technical requirements comprehensively
  • Assess source data for accuracy and relevance
  • Develop optimized data models, establish relationships, and implement advanced analytics using DAX
  • Create visually engaging, interactive Power BI reports and dashboards following best practices for data visualization and user experience
  • Ensure scalability and alignment with business objectives
  • Monitor data refresh and performance, resolving issues promptly
  • Update and enhance reports to meet evolving requirements while maintaining compliance with governance and security standards
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and business users to create high-quality solutions
  • Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences and contribute to process improvements
  • Manage tasks independently while thriving in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate flexibility and provide support to team members when needed

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Power BI development
  • Proficiency in Power BI with a strong knowledge of DAX
  • Experience creating and interpreting SQL
  • Experience gathering and documenting requirements
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality solutions
  • Written and verbal English language skills, with French considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric and Azure Services is an asset
  • Experience in the accounting and professional services industry is an asset
