About The Role

In this graduate-level role, you will be part of the ABC Audience Engineering Team that is responsible for creating data systems that facilitate and enable the ABC Insights and Marketing teams to help the ABC to serve Australians most efficiently.

You will be supported in designing, developing, and maintaining code for collecting, integrating, and transforming audience analytics data.

On the team, you will use modern data engineering tools and workflows, working with leading technologies and systems such as Snowflake and DBT on the AWS cloud platform.

The Job

• Develop complex data schemas and workflows that underpin reports, research and dashboards required by the ABC to serve Australians
• Work collaboratively across the Audiences division to deliver data solutions that support the efficient delivery of marketing analysts and insights for executive and content teams
• Develop solutions that align with business requirements, which include being able to articulate technical limitations to stakeholders, ensuring the delivery of the Audience data strategy.
• Facilitate high quality, reliability and accuracy for the ongoing data solutions by understanding the meaning and nature of ABC Audience data, as well as the processes involved for extraction from internal or external platforms.

About You

Ideally, you will have tertiary qualifications or industry experience in programming, computer science, or other related fields, with an aptitude and interest in managing and analysing data in a large media organisation.

You bring:

• Demonstrable knowledge of programming with Python and have used SQL to extract from and work with databases
• Accomplished planning, organisational and strategic thinking skills.
• Positive and collaborative approach to working as part of a team.
