Job Summary
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, the Marketing Intern will support the execution and optimization of Deighton’s demand generation, digital performance, and data-driven marketing initiatives. This role is hands-on and impact-focused, with a strong emphasis on lead generation, CRM management, data hygiene, website maintenance, and marketing analytics.
The intern will play a key role in ensuring our marketing systems are accurate, optimized, and driving meaningful business insights, while also supporting campaigns, events, and day-to-day marketing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & CRM Management

- Support lead generation initiatives across email, website, gated content, and campaign landing pages
- Assist in CRM data hygiene, including lead cleanup, de-duplication, segmentation, and lifecycle management
- Conduct regular reviews of RFP & RFI portals, track opportunities, and provide reporting to support lead generation and business development activities
- Maintain accurate tracking of campaign sources, attribution, and lead status
- Support Sales and Marketing alignment through consistent lead data and reporting
- Help establish and maintain CRM best practices and documentation
Website Maintenance & Digital Performance

- Support ongoing website maintenance, including page updates, content posting, form management, and basic QA testing
- Assist with SEO optimization, including metadata updates, on-page improvements, and keyword implementation
- Support website performance tracking, identifying opportunities to improve traffic, engagement, and conversion rates
Marketing Analytics & Reporting

- Assist with marketing performance reporting across email, website, CRM, and campaigns
- Help track and analyze key metrics including lead volume, conversion rates, traffic trends, and campaign outcomes
- Support the creation of dashboards, reports, and insights used for decision-making
- Identify trends, opportunities, and gaps in performance data
Campaign & Marketing Operations Support

- Assist with the execution of digital campaigns including product launches, events, webinars, and brand initiatives
- Support email campaign development, scheduling, testing, and reporting
- Assist with content publishing across website, blogs, and social platforms
- Help manage marketing calendars and campaign timelines
Cross-Functional & General Support

- Collaborate with Sales on lead handoff processes, reporting needs, and campaign support
- Assist with events, webinars, and virtual conferences from a marketing operations perspective
- Support administrative and operational tasks within the Marketing team as required
Qualifications & Skills:

- Currently enrolled in, or recent graduate of a marketing, communications, digital media, business, data analytics, or related program
- Internship or co-op experience in marketing, digital operations, or analytics is an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High level of attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong analytical mindset with interest in performance metrics and reporting
- Excellent organizational, project coordination, and time management skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable working with digital and marketing platforms such as:
- CRM systems (Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar)
- Email marketing tools (Campaigns, Mailchimp, HubSpot, etc.)
- Website CMS platforms (Squarespace, WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
- Analytics tools (Google Analytics, Power BI, Looker, etc.)
- Research, Statistics, and Survey Platforms (SurveyMonkey, Typeform, etc.)
- Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing, and lead funnels is considered an asset

Salary Range: $20.00 CAD per Hour
