The Director of Security and Network is a strategic leader responsible for overseeing the security and network infrastructure for all of Pinnacle. This role blends deep technical expertise in cybersecurity, network architecture, and cloud security with people management to lead a small team of engineers and vendor resources to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable connectivity across all Pinnacle locations and applications. Occasional travel may be required (10%).  This position will report directly to the Chief Information Officer.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT, Cybersecurity, or related technology roles
  • Industry certification like CISSP, CISA, CISM or equivalent
  • Proven experience in leading and managing security teams
  • Experience in high growth/high change environment
  • Healthcare experience is preferred

Responsibilities: 

  • Direct supervision of a small team of security and network/infrastructure engineers, providing technical guidance and career development for internal resources.
  • Manage team workload and ensure 24/7 monitoring of security for the enterprise with effective on-call and escalation processes.
  • Lead and own the Security Program including multi-year strategy and roadmap, products and processes and serve as Pinnacle’s Security Officer.
  • Own the operation and management of Pinnacle’s cybersecurity tools including SIEM, EPP, DLP, Firewalls, Vulnerability Management, RADIUS, PKI, and NAC
  • Manage relationships, procurement, and capital expenses with security and networking vendors.
  • Lead and own the network architecture and strategy for LAN/WAN/Wireless, driving simplification and modernization of the network architecture as well as on-site networks.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class security policies, configurations and governance for Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
  • Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and incident response plans to mitigate potential threats.
  • Lead and collaborate with rest of team and Compliance to drive culture of security awareness across the organization.
  • Strong analytic, problem solving and leadership skills with the ability to balance strategic initiatives with hands-on day-to-day management.
  • Regularly communicate project statuses and updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Continuously foster a culture of innovation and keep the team committed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
