Estimating & Projects Intern

Koil Energy is seeking a motivated Summer 2026 Intern to support both our Projects and Estimating teams in a hands-on, rotational role. This internship offers real-world exposure to how engineering projects move from proposal to execution in a fast-paced, operational environment.

The intern will support project coordination and estimating activities, gain exposure to shop operations, equipment readiness, drawing compliance, and work cross-functionally with Engineering, Projects, and Commercial teams.

This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in engineering, project execution, and technical/commercial operations within the energy sector.

What You’ll Do

Project Support

• Support project documentation, scheduling coordination, and data tracking

• Assist with project reporting, material tracking, and general project support

• Gain exposure to fabrication and execution workflows

• Support equipment readiness and drawing compliance reviews

Sales & Estimating Support

• Assist with project cost data collection and analysis

• Support the estimating team with quote preparation and cost modeling

• Organize historical cost data to improve estimating accuracy

• Gain exposure to customer proposals and commercial processes

Cross-Functional Learning

• Rotate between Projects and Estimating teams

• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and commercial teams

• Participate in meetings, site walkthroughs, and team projects

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, or a related field

• Strong interest in engineering, project execution, and technical/commercial operations

• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
