Responsibilities:
Design, develop and be accountable for feature delivery.
Apply enterprise standards for solution design, coding and quality.
Ensure solution meets product acceptance criteria with minimal technical debt.
Act as a liaison for production activities/issues.
Works with the Product Owner to ensure that product backlog/requirements are healthy, with clear acceptance criteria
Plays a team lead role (as an individual contributor) and mentors the team
Guides team members with skills and practices (planning and estimation, peer reviews, and other engineering practices)
Ensure teammates are utilizing enterprise tools and technologies and provide guidance (Like Github copilot)– improve developer experience
Required Qualifications:
Five plus years with recent experience in designing and developing new applications in Java, Angular, SQL Server or Oracle.
Five plus years experience using Java (SpringBoot) technologies to develop scalable enterprise-grade applications, libraries, and frameworks.
Have used micro-frontend and microservices in the prior experience
Hands-on experience with messaging systems like Kafka.
Utilized DevOps technologies for CI/CD including Ansible, Jenkins, JFrog, and Git.
Designed and implemented database development on SQL Server or Oracle.
Proven experience in leading and mentoring a team of engineers.
Strong understanding of software development, testing, deployment, and support using agile methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to write specifications and design documents.
Desired Qualifications:
Exposure to event-driven architecture and distributed systems.
Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in financial services.
Experience with observability tools like Splunk.
