Job Summary

This internship provides hands‑on experience in evaluating and improving clinical and operational programs, with opportunities to focus on high‑impact populations such as individuals with CHF or COPD. The intern will contribute to data‑driven program evaluation, policy analysis, and operational improvement efforts while engaging with executive leaders and cross‑functional teams. Core responsibilities include statistical analysis using tools such as R or Stata, supporting study design, drafting policy memos for internal and external stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to enhance program implementation. The role also offers exposure to stakeholder engagement and software‑related process improvements, within the limits of existing non‑compete constraints. This position is designed to strengthen both organizational performance and the intern’s analytical, strategic, and professional skill set.

Essential Functions

  • Maintains accountability for completing support tasks as directed.
  • Maintains clear and appropriate documentation of actions taken.
  • May analyzes department processes and other Corewell Health systems encountered and makes recommendations improvements, as appropriate. Participates in quality monitoring activities/process improvement activities.
  • Communicates, collaborates, and acts as a team player with others in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services.

Qualifications

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Currently enrolled in a university pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field. May also be a recent graduate from an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program. Preferably pursuing a Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience working with Epic systems
  • Experience working with Statistical Analysis
