The primary purpose of the Graduate Internship is to provide an intern with relevant field experiences in their chosen field of study. One or more mentors will be assigned to the intern to provide instruction, guidance and to assess performance. The intern is responsible for observing the functions and processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit. The intern will be responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for both Mayo and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing of the internship will be arranged with the intern.

This internship will be approximately 12 weeks.
This position is 100% remote work; can work from anywhere in the United States.
Candidates must be currently enrolled in a graduate degree program (master’s or doctoral level) at an accredited university in the United States. A minimum GPA of 3.6 is required. Applicants must demonstrate strong training or applied experience in research methods, with evidence of competence in quantitative analysis, qualitative analysis, and/or mixed methods research. Candidates should have completed graduate-level coursework and/or substantial research experience in one or more of the following fields: education, psychology, sociology, statistics/biostatistics, public health, data science, health sciences, or other social and behavioral sciences. Applicants must provide documented evidence of methodological competence, which may include peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, research reports, methodological training, teaching or instructional experience in research methods, or strong letters of recommendation attesting to analytical skills. Candidates must be able to commit 15–20 hours per week to research activities, maintain a consistent weekly work schedule, and demonstrate excellent academic writing and professional communication skills.
