Intern, IT and Business Systems

The Intern, IT and Business Systems provides hands-on support for ERP systems and IT initiatives, assisting with data management, process documentation, reporting, and end-user support. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize system workflows, ensure data integrity, and enhance user experience while gaining practical exposure to ERP implementation, IT operations, and business systems management.

MAIN FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with ERP data entry, validation, and migration projects
• Document system workflows, SOPs, and user guides
• Support testing and troubleshooting of ERP modules 
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather business process requirements
• Translate user needs into actionable items for IT/ERP consultants
• Track and prioritize open system issues or enhancement requests
• Develop user-friendly training materials (step-by-step guides, screenshots, FAQs)
• Assist with small group training sessions for employees
• Support creation of dashboards, KPIs, and reports for production and sales teams
• Verify data integrity across ERP modules
• Serve as the first point of contact for ERP or basic IT issues, escalating as needed
• Monitor system performance and report recurring issues to management

• Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field 
• Experience: 0–2 years of relevant experience (internships acceptable)
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (SQL knowledge a plus); strong analytical skills and attention to detail; excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross-department collaboration; self-starter capable of working independently without a dedicated IT team on-site
• Knowledge of agricultural or heavy industrial manufacturing a plus
• Ability to work effectively in a technical, customer-centric, and cross-functional setting
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an office environment, including sitting or standing for extended periods, using a computer and other office equipment, and occasionally lifting up to 15 pounds.
