Internal Auditor

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Internal Auditor. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform weekly check audits and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission
• Conduct internal audits across departments to assess compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
• Review financial records, operational processes, and internal controls for effectiveness and risk exposure
• Prepare audit reports with clear findings, risk assessments, and actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with management to strengthen internal controls and operational efficiency
• Maintain proper documentation of audit workpapers and findings

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education – bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or commiserate experience in the industry
• Analytical skills – strong ability to analyze data, identify issues and think objectively
• Communication skills – effective verbal and written communication for reporting audit findings to upper management
• Attention to detail – high level of accuracy in reviewing records
• Technology – Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), Yardi is a plus
• Environment – Typically an office setting, with occasional travel for onsite audit at multifamily properties
