Position Overview
Apollo is seeking an Internal Sales Professional to support the IWG channel within Global Wealth Management Solutions. GWMS is a vertically integrated sales channel within Apollo’s broader Client & Product Solutions (CPS) ecosystem, designed to provide individuals and their advisors with a growing range of wealth management solutions beyond the public markets. The Internal Sales Professional will work closely with external sales partners drive marketing and fundraising outcomes within assigned region/territory.
Spectrum of responsibilities including:

Supports field sales professionals in assigned Region/Territory throughout fundraising and prospecting process
- Develops strong knowledge of private wealth landscape and client/prospect base within assigned territory/region
- Uses Salesforce to obtain meeting details and organize relevant information including research on the company, relevant news, portfolio information and competitive analysis. Prepare ad-hoc reports as needed for Regional Leadership and/or individual members of sales

Contributes to fundraising goals for the region by managing, enhancing, and developing new relationships with clients
- Sends detailed meeting follow up email including any relevant customized data or research to clients and prospects
- Assist in the coordination and organization of group events
- Delivers actionable and timely investment insights via phone calls, zoom and over email
- Assist in tiering organizations in order of interest/priority
- Support the updating of any relevant opportunities in CRM to ensure the sales pipeline is accurate
- Helps investment research teams understand the role Apollo’s suite of wealth management products play in overall portfolios
- Leads meetings with advisors with support from CPMs/senior sales; Over time, demonstrates ability to help drive sales process from sourcing through closing
- Builds close partnerships with key cross-functional teams (e.g., CPMs, Marketing, COO, etc.) to drive business forward

Stays up to speed on performance and positioning of Apollo strategies and succinctly and simply delivering these updates to investment research teams

Facilitate informational requests from clients/prospects/consultants and identify sensitivities/potential issues

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree

Prior knowledge/work experience in alternative investments preferred

Discretion and ability to handle confidential, sensitive information

Strong organization skills
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in written form
- Must work effectively with other groups in the organization and collaborate as necessary
- 4 years’ minimum experience in financial services industry (relevant industry experience will be evaluated when determining level)
- Prior experience working with bank platforms, RIAs or private wealth clients is strongly preferred
- Capable of thinking ahead, identifying potential issues/conflicts/items requiring follow up and proactively communicating them to the team
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications/functions required including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Pay Range
$140k- $160k

The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
