IT Business Analyst Pre-Trade

We are seeking a talented Business Analyst to join our Global Markets Pre-Trade IT team and support initiatives across Global Macro (Rates, FX), Equities / Securities Lending, and Credit businesses.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing algorithmic trading and real-time trading applications, working closely with business stakeholders and international IT teams in an agile environment.

Role and responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders (Trading, Sales, Operations) to gather, analyze, and document requirements for algorithmic trading systems and real-time applications.
• Analyze business processes within Global Securities Financing and Equities to identify opportunities for optimization and innovation.
• Produce detailed functional specifications, use cases, and workflow documentation to guide development teams.
• Act as a liaison between business users, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives, scope, and deliverables.
• Perform data analysis to support trading workflows and decision-making (e.g., order flows, execution, market data).
• Participate in testing, validation, and user acceptance phases to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
• Provide ongoing support to end users, including issue analysis, functional clarifications, and occasional training.

• MIN 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, ideally in trading, pre-trade, or real-time systems.
• Strong understanding of Equities and/or Global Securities Financing business.
• Hands-on experience with data analysis tools and protocols such as SQL, Excel, and FIX messages.
• Familiarity with trading platforms such as Fidessa, ION, Bloomberg EMSX, Horizon, Dash Financials, or similar solutions.
• Solid experience working in agile environments (Scrum / Kanban).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
