Join Our Team as a Junior Java Developer! 

  

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Java Developer to join our growing development team. The ideal candidate will have foundational experience with Java programming and be familiar with tools and technologies such as Apache Tomcat, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, MySQL, HTML, CSS, JS, JSF, and Visual Studio Code (VSCode).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design,  development, and maintenance of Java-based web applications.
  • Work with Apache Tomcat for deploying and managing web applications.
  • Utilize NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, and VSCode as primary development environments for coding, debugging, and testing.
  • Collaborate with team members to integrate Java applications with MySQL databases.
  • Implement front-end components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and the JavaServer Faces (JSF) framework.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist in the posting and maintenance of our online sales catalog, looking for opportunities for integration and automation




Requirements
  • The ability to self-motivate with minimal supervision, innovate, and look for creative solutions to varied business requests
  •  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  •  Familiarity with Java programming and object-oriented concepts.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows (experience with MacOS is a plus
  •  Experience with Apache Tomcat server and deployment of web applications.
  •  Hands-on experience using NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA, and/or VSCode for software development.
  •  Basic understanding of MySQL database design and SQL queries.
  • Knowledge of HTML and JSF for building user interfaces.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git
  • Knowledge of ticket systems, particularly Jira  
  • Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies, especially AI-assisted coding
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of Amazon SellerCentral and online catalogs such as Magento, WooCommerce, and Shopify is a plus
  • Knowledge of Claude Code is a plus
  • High School Diploma
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (8-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch break)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check

Position Details

  • Salary: $44,990-$53,988 per year ($21.63-$25.96/hour) based on experience 
  • Status: Full-time, on-site, non-exempt
  • Reports To: Vice President of Finance 
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
