SUMMARY
The student intern will provide support to the General Counsel and Associate General Counsel for the Tucson Unified School District in the areas of legal research, drafting of board policies, administrative regulations, and memoranda related to all aspects of school administration, including education and employment law.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must currently be enrolled as a law student working towards a juris doctorate degree.
Familiarity and skill in legal research and reviewing records production.
Verbal & written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to read and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
REQUIREMENTS PRIOR TO START DATE
FBI fingerprint background check.
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Have coursework or work experience with policies, regulations, and/or the legislative process.
Experience in K-12 educational setting.

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits.
