Position Summary:
The Lead Project Manager provides oversight for all project management functions associated with the IT Solutions Section. The Lead Project Manager ensures effective project/ticket/task management, fosters collaboration, and drives execution of strategic IT initiatives in accordance with proven methodologies and ITIL best practices.
Primary Duties:
- Provide daily management for projects and personnel within the IT Solutions Section.
- Directly manage project lifecycle activities (planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing).
- Ensure all deliverables meet defined quality standards, and maintain comprehensive documentation for all projects.
- Communicate project status, schedules and conflicts to the Government IT Solutions lead and/or Task Order Team Lead.
- Utilize and champion proven project management and agile/SAFe methodologies—training team members for consistent implementation and success.
- Maintain section readiness and manning, addressing any scheduling challenges as they arise
Qualifications and Certifications:
- Senior/Lead Project Manager: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Junior Project Manager: PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) certification (for junior roles).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project and other planning tools.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II baseline certification (Security+ CE preferred)
- Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
