Duration: 13 Weeks (Contract)
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 5 × 8-hour shifts
- Shift Timing: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Total Weekly Hours: 40
- No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
Job Summary
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide high-quality patient care in an orthopedic outpatient setting. The LPN will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and collaborate with the care team to ensure efficient and patient-centered care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse
- Perform ongoing patient assessments, including physiological and psychosocial data collection
- Assist with preoperative and postoperative patient care
- Conduct medication reconciliation and provide patient education
- Support orthopedic procedures and follow clinical protocols
- Assist patients with daily activities such as ambulation, hygiene, and meals
- Maintain a safe patient environment and respond promptly to patient needs
- Communicate effectively with RNs and providers regarding patient condition changes
- Educate patients and caregivers based on individual needs
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Ensure accurate documentation of patient care and clinical information
- Travel between clinic locations as required
Required Qualifications
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
Licensure & Certification:
- Active New Jersey LPN License (Required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) – American Heart Association (Required)
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of LPN experience preferred
- Strong experience in orthopedic care settings
- Knowledge of preoperative assessments and post-operative care
- Experience with medication reconciliation and patient education
- Flexibility to work across multiple clinic locations
