Logistics Intern

What to Expect Day-to-Day 

As an intern on our brokerage team, you’ll get direct exposure to how freight moves across the country. Your daily experience will include: 

• Assisting carrier reps and managers with freight booking and tracking 

• Reviewing margin performance and service updates in team huddles 

• Shadowing leaders to see how pricing, capacity, and service decisions are made 

• Taking ownership of assignments like data checks, reporting, and carrier outreach 

Project Work 

Interns are not observers; they contribute to real business priorities. You’ll be involved in: 

• Analyzing booking patterns and presenting findings on prebooking, timing, and margin impact 

• Supporting service campaigns such as proactive carrier sourcing and incentive tracking

• Preparing reports for leadership on regional performance and service gaps 

Systems You’ll Learn 

You’ll gain hands-on experience with the same tools our brokerage team uses every day: 

• Highway for carrier compliance and verification 

• MasterMind / internal TMS for freight booking 

• DAT 

• Greenscreens 

• Tableau 

Skills You’ll Bring 

To succeed, you’ll need: 

• Strong Excel and data analysis skills 

• Clear communication, both written and verbal 

• Attention to detail when reviewing load and carrier data 

• Confidence to engage carriers by phone

• Curiosity about logistics, supply chain, and business operations
