Mechanical Engineer

We are looking for a mid-to-senior Mechanical Engineer who takes bold concepts and engineers them into precision-manufactured reality. The role demands mastery of opto-mechanical design, rigorous FEM-based analysis, and deep collaboration with Manufacturing and Process Engineering — pioneering mechanical solutions for next-generation consumer devices from first principles to mass production.

The Mechanical Engineer works closely with Hardware Engineering, Product Design, Electrical Engineering, and Process Engineering teams, leading design and analysis efforts across the product development cycle.

Pioneering opto-mechanical designs for precision assemblies, translating ambitious concepts and optical requirements into manufacturable solutions with exacting tolerances\\nOwning mechanical integration of optical components, sensors, and PCBs — encompassing fit, alignment, tolerance stack-up, and assembly sequence definition\\nPartnering with Manufacturing and Process Engineering from early design stages to ensure concepts are grounded in process capability and scalable to mass production\\nLeading FEM analyses across thermal, static, dynamic, and drop-test scenarios for small form factor consumer devices, ensuring structural integrity and durability under real-world conditions\\nConducting failure analysis (FA) to identify root causes and drive corrective design actions to resolution\\nDriving end-to-end prototype builds, R\u0026D setups, jigs, and fixtures in close collaboration with Process Engineering\\nDefining and executing design verification and validation plans, and translating results into concrete design improvements\\nDefining GD\u0026T and collaborating with manufacturing partners to validate producibility, dimensional compliance, and process yield\\nLeading design reviews, identifying risks early, and driving cross-functional resolution of complex mechanical challenges

B.Sc. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline\\n4+ years of industry experience in mechanical design for consumer electronics or precision hardware\\nDemonstrated expertise in opto-mechanical design, from early-stage concept through production-ready execution\\nProficiency in 3D CAD modeling (NX preferred)\\nProven FEM analysis experience: thermal, static structural, dynamic, vibration, and drop-testing\\nExperience in failure analysis (FA) of mechanical and structural components\\nStrong command of GD\u0026T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and mechanical drawing standards\\nDeep familiarity with consumer product manufacturing processes — injection molding, sheet metal, CNC machining\\nExceptional problem-solving instincts and the ability to drive complex, ambiguous challenges to resolution\\nStrong communication skills and ability to align large, multi-disciplinary teams around bold engineering decisions

M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, or a related field\\nExperience with optical systems design\\nFamiliarity with embedded electronics platforms and basic EE integration\\nExperience with 3D printing technologies (FDM, SLA) for rapid prototyping\\nTrack record of shipping products to mass production\\n6+ years of industry experience in a relevant field
