Position Summary:
The San Diego PACE Data Analyst reports to the Director, San Diego PACE Technology and is responsible for data preparation, analysis and reporting to support the goals and objectives of San Diego PACE. The San Diego PACE Data Analyst will serve as the dedicated resource to support all Federal and State regulatory requirements in addition to providing data that aids in operational decision making. The San Diego PACE Data Analyst will serve as a liaison between San Diego PACE and the IT Reporting team, determining how best to acquire and use information from the Electronic Health Records (Epic) and other relevant software in support of its overall mission.
This is a temporary-to-permanent position that is expected to work 100% on-site; initial assignment is expected to be 3 months. Qualified candidates must be based in San Diego County, or demonstrate understanding & willingness to relocate prior to start date, if selected for this position.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Coordinate data collection related to San Diego PACE including but not limited to information regarding Epic, QuickCap/Medivision, Intus, Care.Coach, AristaMD and/or other relevant fiscal and operational areas
Prepare operational and quality reporting required by the various state and federal funders
In partnership with the PACE Leadership Team, develop and implement data strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality
Interprets data, analyzes results, and provides ongoing reports that identify health trends in patient care outcomes. The Data Analyst role will work with San Diego PACE Leadership team to understand the contents of reports
Develops and maintains a full suite of reporting capabilities that help manage, track, and control the overall quality of care for defined populations
Provide support for preparing grant requests, contract compliance reports, or other related activities associated with new programs/fund development projects
Track and Trend participant Satisfaction surveys in compliance with current protocols; Compile and present results to Leadership to ensure continued quality improvement within the organization
Derive reporting to measure client outcomes and foster clinical quality improvement in all facets of San Diego PACE’s practice
Provide analysis which assesses the efficacy of new programs and initiatives
Ensure completion of additional assessments and reports as needed to support audit readiness
Coordinate with IT Team for the creation and maintenance of forms and reports within the Electronic Health Records system (Epic)
Ensure data reporting is accessible to all internal and external stakeholders as necessary, including patients, employees, and regulatory bodies
Facilitate the Data Reporting Committee and participate as a key contributor to the EHR Committee and other committees as assigned to provide relevant feedback on requirements related to reporting objectives of the Agency
Participate in meetings, internally and externally, related to these job responsibilities
Perform all other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements
Experience Required:
2 years minimum data analyst experience in health care setting required
Education Required:
AA in health-related field or similar degree required
Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Must have excellent English speaking and writing skills
Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Very strong presentation skills required

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
General office environment
Frequent sitting, occasional standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 10 lbs.
May drive around San Diego County for various meetings and trainings
