BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Office of Financial Operations & Systems (OFOS), Office of Pay and Retirement Services (OPRS). The incumbent is responsible for documenting and managing business requirements, analyzing and documenting business change requests and developing test plans for use in the PeopleSoft Human Capital Management System. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing detailed-oriented analysis, solutions and recommendations for both business and technical users; analyzing and documenting business requirements for use in the District's time reporting and payroll processes through the use of qualitative and quantitative methods; performing rigorous testing throughout the PeopleSoft system for all changes (new functionality, enhancements, system fixes, and system upgrades); resolving complex time reporting and payroll system functional problems; detecting and investigating operational inefficiencies in the time and labor and payroll processes; providing tier 2 production support to human resources specialists, payroll managers, and other payroll end users throughout the District on existing functionality within PeopleSoft; and investigating and troubleshooting system issues. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Two (2) years of progressive experience performing the related duties such as: reviewing, modifying and recommending business requirements changes for human resources and payroll systems, writing reports via query or sequel to create and analyze data sets, and providing system support to end users.
Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.
