SUMMARY The Professional Golf Management (PGM) Intern at Osprey Meadows supports the daily operation of a premier mountain golf experience within Tamarack Resort. This role assists in delivering exceptional guest service, managing golf shop/outside service activities, and overseeing play on the course and practice facilities. Responsibilities include helping oversee outside service staff, maintaining the driving range/cart staging area, assisting with tournament operations and golf instruction through clinics/camps, and maintaining a welcoming, professional environment for members, resort guests, and public players. Working closely with the Head Golf Professional, Director of Golf and the rest of the golf operations staff, the PGM intern helps ensure the outside golf operation is smoothly executed. PGM interns may also assist with golf shop operations by completing bookings, check-ins, retail transactions and assisting with merchandising/inventory control.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to): · Assist in the daily management of golf operations, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and welcoming guest experience. · Manage tee sheet activity, guest check-in, and fee collection through the golf shop POS system. · Oversee pace of play and provide on-course player assistance as needed. · Supervise, train, and support outside service staff, including cart staging, practice facility setup, and bag handling. · Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards for the golf shop, practice facilities, cart fleet, and clubhouse areas. · Coordinate opening and closing procedures in alignment with resort policies. · Deliver outstanding hospitality to members, resort guests, and daily-fee players. · Resolve guest concerns professionally and efficiently, ensuring positive outcomes and memorable experiences. · Promote resort programs, events, and amenities in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. · Assist in planning, organizing, and executing all golf tournaments, member events, corporate outings, and resort programming. · Prepare cart signs, scorecards, rules sheets, and other event materials. · Support event scoring, awards presentations, and post-event wrap-ups. · Provide individual and group instruction for golfers of various ages and abilities. · Support junior golf programs, clinics, camps, and player-development initiatives. · Help manage inventory levels, receiving, tagging, and display setup. · Pursue continuous professional development, including participation in PGA Associate Program (if applicable).   REQUIREMENTS · Flexible work availability including weekends and holidays · Ability to stand for long periods of time · Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds · Detail oriented · Must enjoy working and interacting with the public · Maintain positive working attitude and follow TamFam values · Must be 18 years of age · Clean driving record   QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.   REASONING ABILITY Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.   PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT May be asked to stand on feet for all or majority of shift. Some tasks will include physical labor and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds while working in an outdoor environment. Work environment can fluctuate between indoors and outdoors in various conditions and temperatures.
