Position Summary:
The McGill Office of Sustainability and Utilities and Energy Management (UEM) are recruiting one student for a Water Data and Stewardship Internship. The intern will support the team in improving McGill’s understanding of campus water consumption and strengthening internal water data management.
This internship will expose the student to a range of activities related to utility data management, campus infrastructure monitoring, and operational water management. Tasks will include data compilation and verification, meter readings, database maintenance, and support for water system documentation and monitoring activities. The internship will also provide applied learning opportunities by connecting academic interests in sustainability, engineering, and resource management with a real operational challenge at McGill.
The primary workplace will be McGill’s Downtown Campus, with occasional visits to buildings across campus and potential work related to the Macdonald Campus. The position is intended as a full-time internship from May to the end of August, with the possibility of a part-time work from September to April to support continued data analysis, documentation, collaboration with ASR/course opportunities, and follow-up activities.

HOURS: 27 hours a week, from May 2026 through August 2026 (with possibility to extend to from September to April part-time at 7-14 hrs/week)
