Project Manager - R&D Wireline Team | Houston, TX
Job Overview:
Lead innovative wireline technology R&D projects from conception to delivery, driving the future of wireline solutions through effective project management, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic leadership. This role requires an experienced professional who can balance technical expertise with strong project management skills in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
Direct multiple complex R&D wireline projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical requirements
Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and operations
Develop and manage project plans, budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Identify potential risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
Serve as primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, delivering clear communications on progress and outcomes
Establish and maintain high quality standards for all project deliverables
Lead post-project reviews to drive continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor team members and foster knowledge sharing across the organization
Ensure compliance with all safety, security, and environmental policies

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or related technical discipline (STEM)
5-7 years of proven experience in project management within R&D or wireline technologies
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (15-20%)
Qualifications Preferred:
Master's degree in engineering or related technical discipline (STEM)
PMP or equivalent project management certification
Strong knowledge of wireline systems, product development cycles, and technology trends
Experience with process and guideline improvements
