Deliverables:
- Lead business requirement deliverables, such as: business requirement document, use cases, process maps, modeling, requirements traceability.
- Provide inputs to planning deliverables, such as: organizational change management plan, support transition plan, stakeholder management plan, project management plan, risk management plan, risk treatment plan.
- Provide input for implementation and test deliverables, such as: design document, master test plan, test cases, training plan, test completion report.
- Provide inputs to procurement deliverables: RFQ/RFP/RFI, SOWs
- Develop status reports, issue & risk logs, recommendations.
- Other deliverables to meet project needs.
Assignment of Duties:
- Provides a comprehensive range of I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse business and technological needs.
- Leads and conducts business analysis in order to assess clientâs business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined.
- Interacts with the business stakeholders, members of Technology Services, and subject matter experts in order to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
- Leads and conducts business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with project management methodologies, system development methodologies, enterprise architecture, and gating processes.
- Conducts business process mapping; workflow analysis; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case surveys; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions for assigned projects.
- Translates business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions and applies understanding of information management principles, concepts, policies and practices
- Develops sound processes for requirements gathering including but not limited to JAD sessions, interviews, mock-ups, etc.
- Contributes to RFQ/RFP/RFI, SOWs.
- Monitors progress, resolves problems and reports regularly to I&IT management and stakeholders.
- Develops performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation and conducts follow-up.
- Develops strategies, prepare business cases and cost-benefit analysis.
- Identifies potential technology business integration opportunities through knowledge of industry trends
Requirements
Must Haves:
- 5+ years Extensive experience in business process mapping; workflow analysis; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case development; traceability matrices; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions.
- 5+ years Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- 5+ years Extensive experience in leading and conducting business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with project management methodologies, system development methodologies, enterprise architecture, and gating processes.
- 5+ years Extensive experience in leading and conducting business analysis in order to assess clientâs business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined.
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business, computer sciences, or in a discipline pertinent to the job function or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Extensive experience in leading and conducting business analysis in order to assess clientâs business problems/opportunities and documents the business requirements in such a way that I&IT solutions can be determined.
- Extensive experience interacting with business stakeholders, technology teams, subject matter experts to understand their requirements through gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements.
- Extensive experience in leading and conducting business analysis at varying levels of detail appropriate to the project and phases of project, aligning with project management methodologies, system development methodologies, enterprise architecture, and gating processes.
- Extensive experience in business process mapping; workflow analysis; use case modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; process and data flow modeling; use case development; traceability matrices; business rules definition and non-functional requirements definitions.
- Extensive experience in translating business and data requirements into specifications sufficient for designing appropriate technology solutions and applies understanding of information management principles, concepts, policies and practices.
- Experience in the use of Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools to document conceptual requirements and scope, such as Viso.
- Experienced in preparing business cases, cost-benefit analysis, and performance measures.
- Experienced in contributing to RFQ/RFP/RFI, SOWs.
- Ability to monitors progress, meet deadlines, resolve problems, and report regularly to management and stakeholders.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA) and related regulations and standards
