Summary: The Senior SAP Technical Developer is a hands-on SAP technologist responsible for designing, developing, and supporting solutions across the S/4HANA landscape. This role requires deep ABAP expertise combined with strong capability in SAP integrations, SAP BTP, CPI, APIs, and evolving SAP technologies. The role supports Trident Seafoods’ ongoing SAP modernization and hybrid integration strategy. 

Essential Functions:

  • Design and develop SAP solutions using ABAP (OO), CDS Views, and S/4HANA best practices. 
  • Deliver and maintain RICEFW objects with a focus on reuse, performance, and long-term supportability. 
  • Design, build, and support integrations using SAP CPI, SAP BTP Integration Suite, APIs, and IDOCs. 
  • Support IDOC configuration, monitoring, reprocessing, partner profiles, and change pointers. 
  • Develop and enhance SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, OData services, and SAP Gateway components. 
  • Design and support Smart Forms and Adobe Forms. 
  • Partner with functional leads, architects, and business teams to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions. 
  • Perform peer code reviews and enforce SAP development standards. 
  • Support testing cycles, deployments, on-call rotations, and change windows. 
  • Maintaintechnical documentation and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards. 
  • Regularly works onsite to build strong team connections, collaborate across functions, and solve problems in real time.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $125,000 to $170,000.

Travel/On-Call Requirements:

  • Flexibility for global time zones working conditions 
  • Occasionally work outside of standard business hours, including providing remote weekend coverage (on-call). 

Required Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.  
  • 8+ years of SAP technical development experience with ABAP as a core skill. 
  • Strong experience with SAP integrations including CPI, APIs, IDOCs, and SAP BTP. 
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5, CDS Views, and OData services. 
  • Experience working across multiple SAP functional modules (MM, SD, PP, WM, PM). 

Preferred Education & Experiences:

  • Building HANA Views (Attribute, Analytical & Calc Views). 
  • Experience with SAP BTP extensions and cloud-based SAP architecture. 
  • Data Modelling using HANA Studio. 
  • Exposure toSAP S/4HANA Cloud. 
  • Experience in facilitating the continuous improvement and support of the S/4 cloud technologies & Fiori Development, with certification is a plus.

Work Environment:

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Work Ability Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
