The Role
The Senior Business Analyst partners with senior leadership to evaluate and support the delivery of strategic business initiatives. The role collaborates closely with subject matter experts and technology teams to conduct endâtoâend business analysis, including eliciting, analyzing, and documenting detailed business and system requirements to ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions.
In this role, you will:
- Partner with senior leadership to support the planning, evaluation, and delivery of strategic business and technology initiatives
- Prepare concise business value assessments that clearly articulate the benefits and impacts of proposed technology changes for review and approval by senior leadership
- Develop decision requests, information notes, and delivery plans to support executive and governance decisionâmaking
- Lead endâtoâend business analysis activities, including requirements planning, elicitation, analysis, documentation, validation, and management
- Plan, conduct, and facilitate stakeholder engagement sessions, workshops, and consultations with business and technology teams to analyze, validate, and clarify requirements
- Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to contribute to highâlevel solution design, business analytics (including data and reporting), and the development of test scenarios and plans
- Translate complex business needs into clear, wellâdefined business and system requirements that support organizational objectives
- Plan and deliver comprehensive walkthroughs, demonstrations, presentations, and knowledgeâsharing sessions to support adoption of solutions and business readiness
- Provide leadership and guidance to Business Analysts, overseeing requirements activities across multiple concurrent projects. Coach and train team members within the division to support continuous improvement in business analysis practices.
- Assist with production support activities, including issue triage, root cause analysis, impact assessment, and resolution coordination
- Ensure analysis deliverables meet quality standards and support traceability, accountability, and auditability

Salary range: $81,498 - $95,880

Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 7 years Business Analysis experience conducting complex business analysis business requirements and IT specifications Business area experience and/or background in insurance, finance or government programs an asset
- Subject matter expertise in Guidewire (PolicyCenter and ClaimCenter) an asset
- Experience working in scaled agile delivery (SAFe) an asset
- CCBA (Certification of Competency in Business Analysis) or CBAP (Certified Business Analyst Professional) is an asset
- Agricorp program knowledge an asset
