Position Summary:
Hillwood Investments Properties (HIP) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join its growing Operations team in Dallas, Texas. Reporting to the Vice President of Operations, this role supports incentive compensation administration, operational and financial reporting, and performance analytics across the HIP platform, and plays a key role in enhancing reporting capabilities through systems optimization, automation, and data visualization.
The Senior Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing compensation-related data, supporting the evolution of underlying databases and processes, and contributing to the design and administration of incentive compensation plans aligned with HIP’s overall compensation strategy. In addition, this role partners closely with the FP&A Director to support financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting. Building on a foundation of established tools, metrics, and systems, the Senior Analyst leads the analysis and communication of key financial and operational insights and collaborates closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams including Accounting, Capital Markets, Regional Teams, Legal, and Acquisitions and Dispositions.
Primary Responsibilities:
Compensation and Incentive Administration:
- Automate and administer HIP’s incentive compensation programs (Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP), and Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP) and other plans) including maintiaing underlying data, modles, and calculations.
- Partner with Human Resources to analyze market compensation data and provide market-based recommendations for internal associates and prospective new hires.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance complex compensation models and standardized templates to support incentive calculations, payments, and the annual compensation review process.
- Present compensation findings and recommendations to business leaders and senior management to support the creation of new positions and projected compensation.
- Support related programs and initiatives, including Associate Investment Opportunity Plans (AIOP).
Financial Planning, Reporting and Analytics:
- Partner with FP&A FP&A Director to support financial planning, forecasting, and
- performance analysis across HIP’s investment platform.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Capital Markets, and Regional Teams to analyze project and portfolio performance.
- Support cash flow forecasting and capital planning, helping to anticipate funding needs and optimize capital allocation across investments and corporate activities.
- Lead and coordinate the annual budgeting process for assigned areas and work cross-functionally to consolidate inputs
- Prepare reporting and performance summaries for leadership, highlighting trends, variances, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field required.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial planning, analytics, operations, compensation analysis, or a related finance role.
- Proven experience supporting business leaders and influencing decision-making
- through data and analysis.
- Strong working knowledge of financial reporting systems and related technology systems.
- Experience with reporting, analytics, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI,
- QuickBase, OneStream) and working knowledge of dashboard development and
- database management preferred.
- Python programming experience is beneficial.
- Real Estate industry experience is beneficial.
