ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Commercial Data Analyst supports the organization by delivering high-quality reporting, managing core commercial data assets, and producing decision-ready insights. This role is accountable for delivering monthly reporting deliverables and supporting the development, optimization, and continuous improvement of dashboards and other recurring analytical solutions.
- Deliver recurring commercial reporting across multiple analytical platforms (Power BI), ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Innovation, Category Sales Development (CSD), and others to support ongoing analytical needs.
- Validate and quality-check all recurring reporting updates, ensuring alignment with defined methodologies and business expectations.
- Enable the continuous improvement and refinement of recurring reporting solutions.
- Support the design, development, and implementation of advanced reporting and analytics solutions aligned to enterprise strategy and commercial business objectives.
- Elicit, document, and blueprint stakeholder reporting and insight requirements, translating business needs into scalable analytical use cases.
- Provide technical training and champion JDI best practices related to data architecture, semantic modeling, content standards, and data visualization principles.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders to develop a deep understanding of analytical requirements, proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and value creation.
- Conduct thorough analysis, assessment, and validation of data inputs, transformations, and outputs to ensure high standards of data quality, accuracy, and integrity across all analytics assets.
- Support change management, enablement, and adoption efforts associated with new reports, dashboards, and analytical products.
- Collaborate with IT, JDI Data Science, CSD, and other cross-functional teams to continuously improve enterprise reporting standards and analytical capabilities.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and analytical tools that support strategic and operational decision-making for the commercial organization.
- Contribute to the integration of automation and agentic AI solutions across the Research & Insights (R&I) team.
- Maintain project management artifacts (e.g., progress trackers, project charters, delivery roadmaps), ensuring milestones are met, risks are actively managed, and stakeholder communication is clear, consistent, and timely.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of business analytics experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) or a related service provider environment.
- Experience working across data strategy and execution, along with technical partners in IT and data science, is a plus.
- Proven experience designing and implementing reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Microsoft Certified Power BI Analyst (PL-300) certification a strong asset.
- Strong experience working with syndicated data sources such as NielsenIQ, IRI, Circana, customer data platforms, or similar services.
- High analytical acumen with the ability to interpret, synthesize, and contextualize syndicated data and custom research.
- Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience supporting the transition from static reporting to interactive data visualization, including deployment and adoption.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all organizational levels.
- Demonstrated planning, prioritization, and project management capabilities.
- Highly organized, responsive, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
