Job Title: Senior Data Analyst (Python, PySpark, Power BI)
Job Location: Hybrid - Toronto, Canada
Experience: 5 to 10 Years
Rate: 60 to 65 CAD PH

Role Summary: NearSource is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to drive data-driven decision-making for enterprise-scale platforms. The role involves advanced analytics, scalable data processing, and business intelligence development in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end data analysis to support strategic business decisions
• Design and execute scalable data processing workflows using PySpark and SQL
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Power BI and Looker
• Translate business requirements into analytical solutions and data models
• Perform deep-dive analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven product enhancements
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across systems
• Independently lead analytics initiatives with minimal supervision

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis roles
• Proficient in Python, PySpark, and Snowflake SQL
• Strong expertise in BI tools, including Power BI and Looker
• Solid understanding of databases and query optimization (Hive, Snowflake, Presto)
• Proven ability to solve complex problems using data-driven approaches
• Strong communication skills for requirement gathering and stakeholder alignment
• Experience translating business needs into analytical solutions

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with data mining techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning
• Hands-on experience debugging and analyzing data using Spark or PySpark
• Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional, matrixed environments
