Senior Java Developer
CGIPosition Description:
We are Canada's largest independent information technology services firm, and after 45 years, we're still growing! Join Canada's largest IT Company as a "Senior Java Developer" in our Banking Services Division.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design solutions, write code, perform unit testing, develop appropriate artifacts or documentation, and facilitate final delivery.
• Work closely with end users, business teams and business analysts to understand business needs, conduct gap analysis and requirements assessments.
• Deliver and enhance new and current solutions and applications.
• Effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 10+ years of development experience
• Proficiency in Java (Java 8+, Java 17, Java 21)
• Strong experience with Spring / Spring Boot
• Expertise in REST API development
• Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Kafka for messaging and streaming
Nice to Have
• Experience with Scala programming language
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Understanding of Containerization and Docker
