Your Role:<\/b> Prepare drawings, specifications, and reports necessary to deliver assigned projects Design building systems following municipal/provincial building codes and applicable standards Develop layouts and designs of HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, drainage, and specialized plumbing systems (e.g., natural gas, fuel oil, medical gas) Coordinate mechanical system layouts with structural, architectural, and electrical components Design layouts for mechanical rooms, including boiler, chiller, cooling tower, and air -handling systems Prepare calculations for sizing ductwork, HVAC, piping, plumbing, and drainage systems, and incorporate them into drawings Develop equipment schedules and coordinate with consultants for review Liaise with consultants, suppliers, and manufacturers for design support, equipment selection, and project requirements Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and support construction administration (change notices, site instructions, etc.) Ensure CAD standards are followed while producing mechanical building systems designs What You’ll Bring:<\/b> 3–5 years of direct industry experience in mechanical building services (retrofit experience preferred) Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Building Services or Mechanical Engineering P.Eng designation in Ontario preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems Familiarity with the National Building Code of Canada, Ontario Building Code, ASHRAE, and CSA/ULC standards Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office applications Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate in a team setting Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast -paced environment Highly motivated self -starter with strong attention to detail Competitive salary with performance -based raises Bonus structure tied to performance Profit -sharing plan including pension plan Flexible working hours and year -round short Fridays Hybrid working model Comprehensive health benefits at no cost to employees (including dental) Phone allowance (depending on use) Company -sponsored social events/travel (domestic & international) Educational courses and professional development support In -house training and mentorship opportunities Paid mileage and expenses for work -related travel
