Amazon Ads – Supply Tech is a new exciting program that is building supply-side solutions for our content publishers to sell their inventory and maximize yield/monetization. The Supply Forecasting engineering team is developing critical capabilities that enable publishers to forecast inventory availability, book programmatic guaranteed deals, and ensure successful delivery at scale. We are looking for creative and thoughtful software engineers to collaborate with their peers in the creation of solutions for our publishers.

This Palo Alto, CA based team is focused on:

designing, implementing, deploying, and supporting globally-available user interfaces and APIs for our publisher partners to manage order workflows and optimize deal delivery

creation of low-latency, fault-tolerant services that power real-time inventory forecasting and allocation decisions

collaborating with other Amazon advertising teams in building observability and explainability frameworks

supporting publisher SDEs in integration with our services

Key job responsibilities
Design and implement features for inventory forecasting and deal delivery systems, working with guidance from senior engineers

Write clean, maintainable code with thorough unit and integration testing

Collaborate with team members on technical designs and code reviews

Support services in production, participating in on-call rotations and operational excellence initiatives

Work with product managers and UX designers to understand publisher requirements and translate them into technical solutions

A day in the life
You will be working with a team of Software Development Engineers on building inventory forecasting and allocation systems that power programmatic guaranteed deals for Amazon's publisher partners. You will write code for both user-facing APIs and backend orchestration services that need to be fault-tolerant and low-latency. You will participate in design reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and collaborate with other teams within Supply Tech on integration solutions. You will attend daily standups with the engineering team and work with product managers to understand publisher requirements and ensure the features you're building solve real customer problems.

About the team
This team is based in our Palo Alto, CA offices, working alongside other advertising engineering teams. Collaboration and relationships are key. We value learning and growth, with opportunities to work on greenfield development in a startup-like environment within Amazon. As an SDE on this team, you will have access to other engineers across Amazon Advertising and will partner with them on building scalable solutions. You will be joining a team at an exciting stage of development, building systems from the ground up that will impact millions of ad opportunities.

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language

- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
