Under general supervision, the primary goal of the Sr. Enterprise Network Engineer position is to ensure the smooth operation of the enterprise-wide voice and data network to provide maximum performance and availability for the system users. This position is responsible for designing, installing, maintaining and supporting LAN, WAN and VoIP infrastructures at the City. Provides work leadership and guidance to Network Engineers. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five years of experience designing and supporting local and wide area networks. |

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five years of experience designing and supporting local and wide area networks.
One or more industry recognized networking or relevant certifications. Cisco, Palo Alto, and/or Microsoft preferred.
Any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying. One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.
Knowledge of:
Physically lift 50 pounds to waist height, install network equipment in physical location. Enters, exits, and operate city vehicles. Office setting. May have some risk of exposure to electrical hazards, following safe handling practices when installing and upgrading equipment can substantially control this potential risk.
