Sr Network Administrator

Position Summary

The Senior Network Administrator will design, configure and deploy secure, scalable network infrastructures (LAN/WAN) across servers, network, and cloud environments.  The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in infrastructure and cloud technologies (Microsoft Azure required), combined with strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Server & Cloud Administration

• Design, deploy, and maintain on-premises, and multi-site cloud environments.
• Manage Microsoft Azure services including multi-region data centers, Enterprise Networking, and Site Recovery.
• Contribute to the Implementation of disaster recovery strategies for all network devices.

Network Administration

• Monitor network performance, update firmware, and enforce security policies to protect against threats.
• Troubleshoot, analyze and resolve network failures, bottlenecks, and outages to ensure high availability.
• Understanding of Active Directory, EntraID, DNS, RADIUS, DHCP, TCP/IP, and BGP.
• Oversee SD-WAN (Fortinet), VPNs, routers, switches, firewalls (on premise and cloud-based Fortigate Firewalls), wireless access, and unified/cloud telephony systems (Zoom Conference).
• Install and configure network equipment, which includes Cisco switches, Dell PowerSwitch switches, Fortinet Switches, Fortigate Firewalls, and Ubiquity Access Points.
• Ensure robust cybersecurity practices and compliance with industry standards.

Communication & Documentation

• Prepare clear technical documentation, diagrams (Visio or similar), and project plans.
• Ability to communicate technical information to other technical team members as well as to coworkers in other departments who may not have knowledge of networking technical terminology.

Environment & Tools

• Monitoring: Relevant experience using LogicMonitor.
• Networking: Foritnet SD-WAN, Cisco routers/switches/firewalls, Zoom telephony.
• Systems: Azure AD, Office 365, PowerShell scripting, UniFi wireless.

Experience and Qualifications required

• Minimum 7 years of experience in infrastructure management, including networking and cybersecurity.
• Maintain current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions and protection to company systems.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously from design to implementation.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, SD-WAN, and telephony systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (Azure, Cisco, Fortinet) are highly desirable.

Qualifications preferred

• Relevant Fortinet certifications (e.g. FortiClient, Fortimanager, Fortigate).
• Experience working in regulated industries such as financial services.
