Responsibilities

onsemi is seeking a self-driven and motivation engineering student to join the intellectual property/patent legal team located in Phoenix, AZ. As a Patent Engineering Intern you will help patent engineers and attorneys research various semiconductor technologies, review and improve innovation disclosure forms provided by onsemi's innovator community, review technical publications and white papers, and provide other engineering/technical support to onsemi's patent engineers and attorneys.

This opportunity will ask a student to have the following performance objectives: 

  • Knowledge, or desire to learn about the semiconductor design, manufacturing and related technologies; 
  • Gain on the job training and experience related to innovation harvesting, review, and preparation for patent applications;
  •  Execute projects on an independent, but timely and professional manner.

In order to be considered for this internship, you must be a student currently enrolled in a major university pursuing an accredited degree program.
This position specifically requires a degree in electrical, mechanical, or other engineering discipline relevant to the semiconductor industry.
