Supply Chain Analyst (Outbound Network Design)
Location: Beachwood, OH
Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm (In office 4 days a week)
 

Position Summary

This role supports supply chain operations through the management and optimization of planned routing data, ensuring efficient and cost-effective material flow. The position drives visibility and performance through data analysis, process oversight, and proactive issue resolution across operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Operations

  • Maintain the customer’s route plan to ensure accurate and efficient material flow 
  • Align routing plans with production schedules to support operational continuity and service performance 
  • Monitor material flow across the supply chain and coordinate adjustments to address disruptions or constraints 
  • Manage exception resolution related to routing execution, timing, and delivery performance 

 

Data & Analytics

  • Develop and present customer and operational analytics, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities 
  • Analyze routing data to identify optimization and cost-saving opportunities 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert by translating data insights into actionable recommendations that drive decision-making 
  • Influence operational and customer strategies through data-driven insights and performance analysis 
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through ongoing analysis and performance tracking 

 

Customer Relations

  • Partner with customers to resolve supply chain constraints, meet delivery commitments, and address operational inquiries 
  • Communicate critical issues, risks, and impacts clearly and proactively to customers and internal stakeholders 
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending improvements to customer inventory strategies and material flow processes 
  • Anticipate potential disruptions and proactively develop solutions to maintain service levels and operational continuity 

 

Process Improvement

  • Evaluate existing operational processes to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and opportunities for improvement 
  • Recommend and support implementation of process enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and service performance 
  • Partner with Engineering and cross-functional teams to implement process and transportation design changes 
  • Ensure adherence to standardized processes while identifying opportunities to simplify or streamline workflows 

 

Supplier & Carrier Relations

  • Coordinate planned routing changes with suppliers and carriers to ensure alignment with operational requirements and service expectations 
  • Confirm carrier capacity and readiness to support route plans and fluctuations in demand 
  • Serve as the primary liaison for external partners to ensure execution aligns with established supply chain routing strategies 

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned by Manager

 


Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 
  • 1+ year of experience in supply chain or a related role preferred 
  • Strong understanding of transportation, supply chain, and logistics principles 
  • Ability to learn and effectively use inventory and transportation management systems and related applications 
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to interpret and work with large datasets 
  • Strong problem-solving and time management skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and operate in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow established processes and procedures 
  • Advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel 
  • Willingness to travel as necessary and work required hours to accomplish job duties 
  • Complete employment application requirements, including background check and drug screening 

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • This role requires the ability to read, communicate (verbally and in writing), analyze information, and interpret instructions or guidelines 
  • Work may require periods of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the day 
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs (12 kg) 
  • Requires frequent use of computer systems, including extended periods of screen-based work and the ability to maintain visual focus for data analysis and system interaction
