Position Title: Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – Operating Room (Day Shift)

Location: Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Facility: Valley View Hospital (Level III Trauma Center)
Job Type: Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule

• 4 x 10-hour shifts per week
• Day Shift
• Rotating on-call required
• Holiday coverage required

Eligibility Requirement

• Must reside at least 75 miles away from the facility (travel rule applies)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join a high-acuity Operating Room team in a Level III trauma center. The role requires strong multi-specialty surgical experience and the ability to work with advanced surgical technologies in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments
• Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures
• Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety
• Support multiple specialties including orthopedics (total joints), neuro/spine, robotics, urology, OB-GYN, ENT, plastics, and trauma
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical systems (DaVinci, Mako, Exactech, Stealth)
• Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments
• Perform surgical counts and maintain infection control compliance
• Assist with room turnover and case preparation
• Document procedures accurately in Meditech EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency surgeries

Required Qualifications

• Active Colorado Surgical Technologist License (CST – DORA)
• Certification (NBSTSA, AST, or NCCT)
• Graduate of accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Minimum 3 years of OR experience
• Strong experience in orthopedics (total joints), neuro/spine, robotics, urology, GYN, ENT, plastics
• Current BLS (AHA) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in trauma or high-acuity surgical settings

• Ability to operate in a high-pressure OR environment
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and adaptability across specialties
