Learn pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical processes in the Advanced Molecular Detection (AMD) Unit. Develop and implement Research Data Capture (REDCap) databases and projects. Expand REDCap functions in accordance with AMD team needs. Collaborate with Common Data Elements (CDES), Sterile Insect Technique (SIT) and other stakeholders. Train unit staff on newly implemented or updated projects and workflows.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Minimum Requirements:
There are no minimum training or experience requirements for this class.
Institutions of Higher Learning must be recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.

Agency Additional Requirements: 
Current college student or recent graduate in biology, data science, informatics, public health, or related field. Enrolled as a college junior, senior or graduate student. Recent graduates will also be accepted. Coursework in biology, data science, informatics, public health, or related field. Strong interest in genomics, database management and/or computer science. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

GPA of 3.0 or higher. Coursework in computer/data science.
